You
can read about the cultures of Indiana’s indigenous tribes
in any number of text books. But what if you could actually
learn the Miami language from a living member of the tribe?
What if you could research Native American basketry in a 5,500-volume
library dedicated to Native American and Western studies? What
if you could try silversmithing with a Delaware artisan? The
6,000-square-foot Nina Mason Pulliam Education Center allows
school children and lifelong learners to extend their visits
to the Eiteljorg by exploring art, history and cultures of the
American West and native peoples of North America in a hands-on
setting.
